Manor Lodge is part of the oldest house in Dodbrook Millbrook, Cornwall.
A grade one listed building dating back to the 12th century and part of the
Mount Edgcumbe Estate, Charles 1 stayed here when he was in hiding from the
Roundheads. The courthouse was held here once a month on the adjacent side
of the house, and the room is still there where they would don their gowns and wigs.
Just three miles from the beautiful Mount Edgcumbe Country Park and the Cremyll
ferry to take passengers to Plymouth, the historic villages of Kingsand and
Cawsand are a twenty minute walk over the hill, or a five minute drive.
The house backs onto farmland which has public walkway through it.
Five minutes walk into the village of Millbrook with all the amenities
including three public houses and a post office..
Fully refurbished in 2008 to a very high standard and tradionally decorated, we
have three bedrooms and can also provide holiday lets. Each room has its own
unique ensuite with shaver points. Also freeview television and access to wireless
broadband internet, with tea and cofee facilites. Communal dining room and
lounge, laundry facilities and centrally heated throughout.
We are child and pet friendly as long as prior arrangements have been made with us.
